At Child and Family Art Therapy Center, we are building something very intentional.
Our mission is to be a best-in-the-world therapy organization for therapists, children, and parents. That means creating an exceptional clinical home for you, while delivering high-quality, developmentally attuned care for families.
We are a general psychotherapy practice serving children, teens, young adults, and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. We provide art therapy, play therapy, and verbal therapy for trauma, anxiety, anger, depression, parent-child conflict, academic challenges, social difficulties, and more.
We are also recognized as regional leaders in neurodiversity support, social skills programs, and strengths-based interventions for children and teens. Our Art of Friendship Social Skills Groups and Camp Pegasus are award-winning programs built on creativity, structure, and hope.
Families describe us as accessible, responsive, caring, and highly supportive. Our goal is simple and bold: help children and families thrive, and make sure clinicians are deeply supported, valued, and equipped to do their best work.
We are person-centered and child-centered. That philosophy guides every hiring decision.
What We Offer Our Team
A Mission That Matters
We believe childhood is sacred. Therapy for children should be for children. Art and play are not extras here; they are central. You get to do real art therapy and play therapy from the beginning, through growth, to successful discharge.
Clinical Excellence
We hire only experienced, licensed, credentialed clinicians. We don’t hire inexperienced therapists. Our clients deserve seasoned judgment, strong clinical instincts, and a deep intervention library.
Fair Compensation
Highly trained therapists performing essential work with children and families deserve to be well compensated. Private practice here allows a smaller caseload than agency work, while earning competitive pay.
W-2 Structure & Benefits
We provide a W-2 employee structure with payroll support, contributions toward taxes, Simple IRA retirement investment options, continuing education stipend, and additional benefits.
Free Group Supervision
Ongoing consultation and supervision are available for staff. We value shared wisdom, mentorship, and professional growth.
Art & Play Affirmative Culture
Beautiful, comfortable, fully stocked art therapy and play therapy rooms across our four Philadelphia Metro offices.
High Degree of Clinical Autonomy
You have space to be the therapist you are. We support your clinical voice, creativity, and independence.
Strong Parent Buy-In
We practice parent support and training alongside therapy. You won’t be working in isolation. Families are engaged and collaborative.
Less Paperwork, More Therapy
More clinical time and less documentation compared to agency settings and insurance-heavy models.
A Great Quality of Life
Supportive colleagues, a strength-based atmosphere, and work that feels meaningful.
