learning or social skill differences, which can lead to self-doubt, frustration, and big emotional reactions. Over time, these children may begin to internalize negative messages about themselves. My role is to help them reconnect with their strengths and develop confidence through creative, art- and play-based therapy.
I work closely with parents, offering guidance and practical strategies to support your child’s growth beyond the therapy room. At times, I meet separately with parents to check in, answer questions, and make sure you feel supported and confident throughout the therapeutic process.
As an art therapist, I invite children to explore a range of creative materials so they can discover the forms of expression that feel most natural and meaningful to them. Sessions also incorporate mindfulness practices and gentle movement, along with the Child & Family Art Therapy Center’s evidence-based approaches. For adolescents and young adults, I integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help them relate more compassionately and effectively to anxious or depressive thoughts and feelings.
My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where children and families feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward with greater resilience and confidence.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors- hiking, walking or volunteering for local organizations. I also enjoy traveling to visit friends and family in other parts of the country. As an artist, I am inspired by the natural world and discovering new mediums! I am also a long-time yoga practitioner who looks for ways to combine yoga, travel and service!
