With over twenty years of experience as an art therapist, I’m continually inspired by the uniqueness of each child – seeing the world through their eyes – and I’m committed to helping caregivers deepen family connections through understanding and supporting their child.
I use visually-based lessons to teach social-emotional coping as well as art-making and play to assist children and teens in expressing themselves, gaining self-awareness, and improving their coping. I believe incorporating caregivers into therapy is essential to fully support change and growth.
As a board-certified art therapist and licensed associate professional counselor, I work with children, teens, and families navigating social–emotional challenges, including those connected to school, home life, ADHD, autism, depression, and anxiety.
I offer a free 30-minute consultation call to explain my approach and help you determine whether it’s a good fit for your child and family.
In my free time, I enjoy creativity in all its forms – art-making, cooking, gardening, and even planning excursions with my family. I’m passionate about lifelong learning and social justice. Additional roles that I have are as a professor of Art Therapy at Arcadia University and as a facilitator for a girls leadership program within area public schools.
