Imagine your child healing and growing due to access to CFATC’s innovative child therapy programs:

Perhaps your child has struggled mightily with emotions and behaviors for some time. You’ve tried everything you can think of, but things didn’t improve. You searched for therapeutic help, but it was hard to find a good child therapist! Private pay therapy is too expensive. You don’t want to go with a random no-name therapist off your insurance provider list; that seems risky. Perhaps you don’t have insurance right now. If this sounds like you, read on! Help is finally within reach! Imagine your child getting outstanding adolescent/child therapy from an innovative, award-winning program – and you only pay what you can afford!

Affordable, reduced rate/low cost therapy with sliding fees for qualifying families experiencing financial insecurity

(**Social skills groups are not available in the BetterWorld Program, only Individual Therapy Services)

*Reduced Fees Due To Financial Hardship on a Case By Case Basis

If these rates are still too expensive, DON’T WORRY! We will work with you to figure out a fee that won’t harm your family financially. We NEVER want finances to stand between a child and great therapy.

If you ask for a reduced rate, we will need to review your most recent tax return. We plug the information into a system that figures out the discount level you are eligible for based on your income relative to Federal Poverty Guidelines and size of your household.

For therapy to be successful there needs to be a meaningful exchange of VALUE. The value offered by the therapist is time, training, effort, expertise, and customer service. Families provide value in return in the form of payment. Therapy does not work when it is free because the exchange of value is missing. We respect your family’s financial needs and we expect you to respect the clinician’s need to be paid.

Who Are The Therapists?

CFATC’s affordable therapy division hires outstanding art therapy interns and trains them in our innovative and unique therapy approaches. We interview and contract with only the very best art therapy interns from highly respected graduate schools. They must be emotionally mature talented clinicians at top of their class, wonderful citizens in their programs. The interns we hire are passionate about treating adolescents and children and are dedicated to ongoing professional and personal self-improvement. Our interns receive intensive training in CFATC’s original award-winning approaches. They are supervised and mentored by CFATC’s clinical associates. You can feel confident that your child’s therapy process is overseen by the power and wisdom of the entire clinical team at the Child and Family Art Therapy Center.

How to Enroll Your Child at CFATC – The process is as easy as 1-2-3!

1) Contact our Referral Team:

By email at: connect@childandfamilyarttherapycenter.com or

By phone at: (610) 649-1080 x1

Let them know what you are looking for and that you are interested in our Accessible Therapy Option. They will ask if you are interested in individual therapy or a social skills group. If we have a therapy slot that might fit your child’s needs, they'll connect you with the intern who may be able to help your child.

2) The intern holds a free 30-minute phone consultation with you about your child and family’s needs.

When you chat, the intern will describe our services in detail, and together you will explore your child and family’s needs. Together, you’ll figure out whether our services and fee structure will work for you.

3) If you and the intern can agree on an appointment time, costs, etc., then you can schedule the first face to face assessment session and begin your child’s therapy process.

If, for any reason a treatment agreement doesn’t work out, we’ll try to refer you and your child to another agency for therapy.

The Treatment Contract

When you enroll your child in therapy with us, you and the intern make an agreement:

Intern’s responsibility: The intern contracts to reserve a meeting time for you and provide therapy to your child at the scheduled times. If the intern cancels a session you are not charged. In the unlikely event that the intern no-shows on you, your next session is free.

Caregiver’s responsibility: The caregiver contracts to pay the agreed upon fee for each scheduled session. If the caregiver cancels a session with at least 24 hours’ notice, then there is no charge for the session. If the caregiver/client no-shows for an appointment or gives less than 24 hours’ notice of a cancellation, then the caregiver is charged the session rate for that time slot.

At the outset of therapy, the intern will send you a link to our online Client Portal. There, you will fill out Consent to Treatment and other onboarding forms. In the case of separation and divorce, the non-custodial parent/caregiver must also sign the treatment agreement (except in certain cases).
